Vauxhall manager Carl Macauley has moved quickly to strengthen his squad by bringing in defender Gareth Evans and striker Jon Bathurst. Evans has previously played for Elements Cefn Druids and also played league football for Wrexham but has recently been plying his trade in America for Austin Aztex. 19 year old Striker Bathurst has signed from neighbours Southport and has previously played for Skelmersdale United and AFC Liverpool. This big, strapping, old fashioned-type centre forward played only a handful of games for Skem last season but spent the latter half of the season on loan to Ashton Athletic where he scored six goals in ten outings.
